Updates! My dolls, wig making, and pattern making stuff

     It's been a while since I've posted, so I thought I'd write about a few things. The biggest update is that my Juri '13 faceplate has a body now! I was able to buy one from a friend, so it arrived very quickly. It's recast, and though it's preowned it's not strung properly, so it's very hard to pose! But, I've also put in an order from Dollmore, which includes a couple sets of elastic, so I'll hopefully be able to restring all my littlefees soon!

LTF Juri '13

     Juri is developing quite a personality since obtaining a body. I'm working on her faceup right now- I started off gothy and dark, but I've decided to make it a little lighter- browns instead of blacks, but still keeping reddish, though more pink-brown, accents (I love how the colour looks on Fairyland's normal skin/"fairyland pink" as imitated by S/L (very close match, by the way)! Anything peachy pink looks great). I've figured out she's some kind of a mischievous forest sprite child. Her clothing and styling will be very mori girl inspired. I still don't have a name for her, though!

Emmaline

     I decided to clean and reseal Emmy's body, as well as give her a new faceup! It's almost finished, but I need the Dollmore order to come in! She definitely needs her eyelashes.

Sewing

      I finished a first draft littlefee dress. It's a first draft because it's handsewn, unfinished, made without a pattern. I recently made torso slopers for both littlefée and minifée, so I'm using that to make a more finished version (darts and stuff, so the shoulders don't fit funny). I'll be making two more professional looking versions for my/my mom's twins, and then possibly more for sale. I'm not used to taking so much care when finishing a piece, so I've decided to practice a bit before placing sewn items for sale!

Preparing to sell

     I have not put up anything for sale yet because of worries about paypal. Apparently, many people have had horrible experiences involving being locked out of their accounts for a crazy amount of silly reasons. I'm particularly worried about the fact that paypal considers a change in account activity "suspicious" and good reason to suspend an account: I've never sold anything online, so if all of the sudden I receive $30 for a doll outfit, what happens? Obviously, it's not that much, but $30 is a lot to me... Besides, I don't want to get negative feedback because there was a holdup with paypal. Paypal is also known to always side with the buyer- it seems pretty easy to get scammed.
     I need to do more research, particularly into a different company which seems more promising: from what I've read, it's an actual bank, so laws about account suspension and not letting you get your money actually protect the account holder.
     I also need to figure out where etsy puts your money, if they work with companies besides paypal, etc.
    I've made some ready-made items, so I'd really like to get selling sooner than later!
